Hybrid Spa Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Hybrid Assistant to support our spa's daily operations. This role blends front desk reception, client coordination, administrative support, and light spa assistance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about wellness and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk & Client Services

Greet clients warmly and ensure a welcoming experience.
Manage bookings via phone, email, or scheduling software.
Process payments, gift certificates, and client intake forms.
Handle customer inquiries

Administrative Support

Maintain accurate client records and update databases.
Assist with inventory tracking and product ordering.
Support with email campaigns, social media posts, or newsletters.

Spa Operations

Prepare treatment rooms before and after services.
Assist with laundry sorting, towel replacement, and light cleaning duties.
Support therapists with setting up or restocking supplies.
Ensure overall cleanliness and ambiance of the spa.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in customer service or spa/salon environment is a plus.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Comfortable using booking software (e.g., Square, Wix).
Able to multitask in a calm, professional manner.
A passion for wellness, beauty, and skincare.

Working Conditions:

Must be available for weekend shifts, as needed.
Hybrid flexibility: on-site presence required during operating hours, some admin tasks may be handled remotely (based on business needs).

Who We're Looking For

Brownstone Spa is seeking a Licensed Esthetician who is reliable, client-focused, and passionate about holistic skincare. The ideal candidate is a confident professional who can work independently, create a warm and therapeutic experience, and provide services that align with our natural skincare philosophy.

This is a contractor (1099) position — perfect for an esthetician who wants flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to grow with a boutique spa in downtown Phoenix.

Core Responsibilities

Provide customized skincare, body, and sugar hair removal services by appointment
Evaluate skin types and conditions to create personalized treatment plans
Recommend natural, high-quality skincare products to support client goals
Maintain a clean, calm, and safe treatment environment
Offer thoughtful aftercare and follow-up recommendations
Listen and respond to client needs with care and professionalism
Communicate client feedback or concerns to the business owner as needed

Qualifications

Active Arizona Esthetics License (required)
Minimum of 1 years of professional spa experience preferred
Availability during weekday and weekends
Strong communication and time-management skills
Comfortable working independently and providing consistent, quality service
Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality
Customer service and sales experience a plus
Understands and accepts the nature of 1099 independent contract work (no benefits, responsible for own taxes/equipment)

Compensation & Structure

Pay range: varies based on services rendered
Final pay rate and contract terms to be defined in an Independent Contractor Agreement
Esthetician will submit bi-weekly invoices and be paid the following Friday
Not a permanent or essential position; role may evolve as Brownstone Spa grows
